Investment of time and more energy is required in each offspring. She therefore selects only the most genetically suitable along with higher status man to marry. Double standard of male dominated society where masculinity is admirably more promiscuous and expect women as circumspect, if not then her survival becomes difficult. Women do not compete in this way and ultimately with no alternative pavement for male dominance. Man finds himself superior physical strength whereas women are handicapped by physiological and biological burdens of pregnancy, menstruation the menopause and nursing for women, and we snub and become tumultuous to dispense justice and hence after, naturalistic fallacy is put into taunt.
Functionalists argue that woman plays an expressive roles with warmth security and emotional support to the male weary breadwinner and their specializing functions are not merely socialization of the young but also Stabilization of adults. Let me put brief contrast of their stand, for example, radical feminists are gynocentric , concerned regarding womens rights rather gender equality and find merely revolutionary change as a solution. Separatists see lesbian as true feminists. Female supremacists aims patriarchy replaced by matriarchy. Marxist and socialist feminism see capitalism rather than patriarchy. The three is liberal feminism, tend for gradual change and make efforts to eradicate sexism and stereotypes, it seeks reform through democratic system. The last one is the most contradictory and important which is black feminism, who have dissatisfaction with other types of feminism and levels criticism such as ethnocentric, victim ideology, theoretical racism and cultural appropriation. It find itself most vulnerable and disadvantageous.
Culture is the means by which humanity controls and regulates the nature. Women are disadvantaged by their biology,menstruation the menopause and childbirth are all physical burdens for women. Married life is a womans profession and to this life her training, that of dependence is modelled. Patriarchal societies are particularly interested in the construction of ordinariness the way in which gender is bound to be mobilized.
In Indian society, most interestingly we often see in Bollywood, for modeling photo shoots and advertisements etc. that more women are being launched but the irony is that, their package or contracts are comperatively less to their male-counterparts. Some are preferred to sleep with their directors or casting couch remains highlighted.Advertisements are tend to reproduce the gender inequality, women are preferred to nudity to gain more customers but I consider it a reproduction cycle of gender inequality and therefore, being evidenced as gender is socially constructed. Now, critical thinking is highly required to establish a gender friendly society. Every stakeholder has a role to play.
