SRINAGAR Soon after the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) vice president, Sartaj Madni tendered his resignation from the partys vice presidentship, the partys disgruntled leader and MLA Noorabad, Abdul Majeed Paddar on Monday termed it as a mere drama.
Earlier, Madni had claimed to have tendered his resignation as Vice President of PDP, saying, I have submitted my resignation to party president Mehbooba Mufti in the larger interests of the party and for its strengthening, stability and unity.
According to KNS, the Noorabad legislator said that taking such steps after damaging the partys unity is only a damage control exercise.
The situation could have been different in case the party president had taken such decision herself prior to the damage of partys unity, he said, adding that such step of Madni is a mere drama.
The PDPs disgruntled leader further stated that such dramas wont deter them. Such decision should have come from partys president and that too much earlier. Now, these steps will not work, he said.
Asked about his recent claims about 51 MLAs, Paddar said, You have to wait a bit more. We will come up 55 MLAs, not only 51, to form the government. (KNS)
