SRINAGAR In what could be termed as an all out effort for the formation of a new government in the state, People’s Conference Chairman and former Minister Sajad Gani Lone held a meeting with the senior Peoples Democratic Party leader and former Finance Minister Dr. Haseeb Drabu at a hotel in Delhi on Thursday evening.
According to reports, the two met at Hotel Taj Palace in New Delhi in the evening and were together for more than an hour.
Drabu, according to sources flew from Mumbai to meet Lone who has been camping in Delhi for last several days.
The architect of the alliance, Drabu along with BJP general secretary Ram Madhav, was involved in stitching together the alliance between the two parties. Drabu was however unceremoniously ousted from his post by Mehbooba Mufti on March 12 this year much to the resentment of party rank and file.
