SRINAGAR Unknown persons on Wednesday carried out two separate grenade attacks in Pulwama district of south Kashmir.
Reports said that a grenade was hurled at the residence of a National Conference (NC) defeated candidate, Mohammad Ashraf Bhat in Tral township today afternoon.
There was no immediate report of any loss of life or the property.
In another incident, suspected militants today afternoon lobbed a grenade at a joint naka of the police and the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) near Circular road in Banora area of Pulwama district.
However, the grenade missed the target and exploded in an orchard.
However, no one suffered injuries in the blast.
A police officer confirmed the twin attacks and said that investigations has been launched in to the incidents.
Police Sentry Opens Fire
Sentry of police station Rajpora in this south Kashmir district fired few rounds in air after observing some suspicious movement, official said.
The sentry guarding Police station Rajpora of Pulwama district observed some suspicious movement and fired some aerial gunshots, said SSP Pulwama.
