SRINAGAR Suspected militants on Thursday evening hurled a grenade at a CRPF camp in Braripora Nawakadal area of Old City here, official sources said. They said that device missed the target and exploded on a road side, leading to damage to four private vehicles parked nearby. No casualty was reported in the incident, they added.
A police officer said that the militants hurled a grenade on 161 bn CRPF camp at Braripora. However, the device missed the target and exploded outside the sentry post along the roadside.
In the blast four vehicles including two auto rickshaws, one santro vehicle and a school bus suffered damage, the officer said.
He said that a case under relevant sections of law has been registered in this regard and further investigations initiated.
