SrinagarRamazan will begin on Thursday in Jammu and Kashmir along with other parts of Muslim world as the moon marking the beginning of the holy month has been sighted
Pakistan Ruet-i-Hilal Committee on Wednesday said Ramazan moon was sighted and that the first day of the holy month of fasting will fall on May 17.
The announcement was made by the Chairman of Central Ruet-i-Hilal Committee Pakistan, Mufti Munibur Rehman, in a press conference held after the conclusion of an official meeting of the committee, TV reports said
The Chairman Central Ruet-i-Hilal Committee said that witnesses regarding the moon sighting were received from across the country. The Holy month of Ramazan would begin from May 17. The holy month will also begin in Arab world on Thursday.
