SRINAGAR: The Kashmir Chamber of Commerce and Industry today held an inaugural ceremony of the 35th Indian Handicraft Gift Fair (IHGF) Spring-2013. Fair sanctioned by the Ministry of Textiles, GOI and organised by the EPCH, New Delhi is being held at Greater Noida and will conclude on 11th of February.
The KCC&I has been given a Kashmir theme and was inaugurated by the Secretary Textiles, Ministry of Textile, GOI in presence of Development Commissioner (Handicrafts), Ministry of Textiles, GOI and other Senior Officials of the Ministry. A good number of our exporting members are participating in the said fair, a KCC&I statement said.
The Secretary Textiles, GOI praised the Kashmir theme and was impressed by the efforts made by the KCC&I in promoting the Kashmir handicrafts in such International events. Our participants have shown enthusiasm in participating in the Kashmir theme pavilion, it said.
President, Sr. Vice President and Secretary General of the KCC&I were present at the inaugural ceremony.
