Dear Editor,
We had a family outing and after a fun filled day in Tangmarg I just wanted to relax with my family at River View Park at Kunzer.
I locked my car ( A silver colour Wagon-R, Dl9CP 2276) at 5.45 pm on March 25. I was busy taking selfies at the park with my kids when suddenly my little daughter saw a man driving our car away and speeding off. Our faces went pale, joys turned into sorrows. I started running towards the entry gate to catch my joys back. But I lagged behind and my dream car sped into oblivion. All happiness was shattered.
Hopelessly I went to police station Kunzer. Hopelessly as we hardly trust police and more so thief had taken my car along with other personal items and car papers like N.O.C and affidavit except RC.
At police station I registered the report of theft. The SHO Kunzer Mr. Basharat after consoling me, assured that they will try to bring me my car back. They took immediate action and went for the hunt. The SHO Kunzer called me at 12 am saying he just returned from the search which yielded nothing except some clues. I lost my hope and started praying more. SHO however again assured me. Day passed without any information about my car. It was next day when SHO Kunzer called me at approximately 2 pm that they have located my car at Mini Secretariat Ganderbal. I couldn’t believe it till SHO forwarded images of the car on my WhatsApp.
I am writing this letter as I never expected a quick response from Jammu and Kashmir Police. It’s you who changed my mentality. Sir, I believe in you and now I believe in JKP. I just wanted to take a moment to appreciate and thank SHO Kunzer and JK police for helping recover my stolen car and with that my and my familys peace of mind.
