SRINAGAR: The state government has constituted a committee for assessing the requirement of roads and other infrastructure in an effort to devise a plan for decongestion of the Old town Baramulla in North Kashmir.
The committee, to be headed by Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, has been asked to come up with recommendations for addressing critical requirements which could be completed within a time of two years after assessing different requirements in this behalf.
The committee has also been asked to invite MLA Baramulla during its meetings and submit its report to the government within two months time.
Director Local Bodies, Deputy Commissioner Baramulla, DIG Traffic Kashmir, Chief Engineer R&B Kashmir, Chief town planner Srinagar and Director Area Planning are the other members of the committee.
