SrinagarSultan Cricket Club, Chadoora and RCC Badipora Tuesday progressed into the next round of Budgam T-20 Super League, winning their respective fixtures played at Sports Stadium Budgam. Both the fixtures of the day turned out to be lopsided affairs with winning teams not having to sweat much to secure victories.
The first fixture of the day saw Abid Sheikh starring with both bat and ball to power Sultan Cricket Club to a 25-run victory over LCC Labertal.
Riding on Abids magnificent 49, Sultans managed to post a decent score of 159 for the loss of eight wickets in the allotted 20 overs. LCC chase never got momentum thanks to tight bowling from Sultans as the batting side was shot out for 134. Abid was amongst wickets taking a brace to walk away with the man of the match award.
The second match was also one-sided fixture with RCC Badipora thumping Bhai Jaan XI by seven wickets.
Batting first, Bhai Jaan XI were bundled out for a nothing 113. RCC Badipora didnt have any mishaps chasing the target reaching their in just 17 overs. Gulzar was the architect of the solid chase thanks to his blistering 58. He was rightly given man of the match award for his knock.
