KupwaraA team headed by tehsildar Lalpora Lolab area of North Kashmir’s Kupwara dDistrict Abdul Rasheed along with SHO Lalpora Ab Rashid Tuesday conducted a surprise inspection of various markets in Lalpora.
During the inspection, an amount of Rs 1000 was recieved as fine from erring traders for violations of various laws.
About 40 kg of rotten vegetables and 30 polythene bags were also seized and destroyed on the spot, whereas, various footpaths were freed from encroachments during market checking.
Meanwhile, shopkeepers and vendors were warned against encroachments. The transporters including auto drivers were asked to park their vehicles only at parking places. The general public on the occasion appreciated the act and hoped that the drive will continue in future as well.
