SRINAGAR: The divisional administration has directed all private tuition centres to register themselves with the directorate of education (DoE) by January 31, and has set up a committee to finalize the fee structure of the highly lucrative trade.
Coaching centres have been ordered to maintain detailed admission registers of students and display the monthly fees charged.
They have been given one week to provide adequate space, separate waiting rooms, toilets and drinking water, and heating facilities for students, and chief education officers have been asked to investigate and submit compliance reports to district magistrates within 15 days.
