TralJammu and Kashmir Yateem Trust on Saturday, distributed 20 Sewing Machines among orphan and most deserving girls from the downtrodden section of society in a function at its Bus Stand Office Tral in South Kashmir.
The function was presided over by the able Patron of Jammu & Kashmir Yateem Trust, Zahoor Ahmad Tak. The sewing machines were provided to the girls who had completed their course at the Trust’s Vocational Training Centre, under its Rehabilitation Program.
At the function, Tak praised the work of Tral Unit of Yateem Trust and said that it must evolve itself from a Charitable Organisation to a Developmental Organisation.
He on the occasion reiterated that Yateem Trust envisages the idea of rehabilitation of weaker sections of society, especially women, under moral and Islamic perspective. Emphasizing on the role of a girl from a weaker section of society, he said that a girl must live with dignity and honour.
He also said that Self respect and God consciousness can earn a girl better life. He advised the girls to adhere to Honesty and hardwork, so that the challenges of life are faced with honour and dignity.
Tak in his speech said that unless the weaker sections of the society are not uplifted and rehabilitated, the slogans of Women empowerment are hollow.
He also suggested that more and more girls from destitute and headless families must seek education, and work in education and health sectors.
