Srinagar:A deputation of Batamaloo Bus-stand Traders Coordination Committee today called on Deputy Chief Minister Dr Nirmal Singh.
Minister for Education Syed Altaf Bukhari was also present. Divisional Commissioner Kashmir Mr Baseer Khan, Commissioner Secretary Housing and Urban Development Hirdesh Kumar, Vice Chairman Srinagar Development Authority Mr AM Raina, Commissioner Srinagar Municipal Corporation Reyaz Ahmad Wani and other senior officers also attended.
The deputation raised several issues relating to their business and other allied activities in view of the shifting of the bus-stand from Batamaloo to Parimpora. They said that a mechanism should be formulated so that their business does not get affected and also raised several other issues.
The deputy chief minister, while interacting with the deputation, assured them that their grievances would be looked into and redressed in a time-bound manner. He said that the government is committed towards the welfare of every section of the society and several schemes have been initiated so that the business and related activities get the requisite fillip
