SrinagarA paramilitary CRPF officer sustained splinter injuries after unknown persons on Sunday lobbed a grenade on the house of former MLA Tral and senior National Conference leader Mohd Ashraf Bhat.
Official sources said that suspected militants hurled the grenade which exploded with a bang.
In the incident a CRPF officer (ASI) Ali Mohd of 180 bn was injured and has been hospitalized.
The security guards also retaliated with firing.
Soon after the incident government forces launched a hunt to nab the assailants.
Gunmen ransack cop’s house in Tral Village
Unidentified gunmen on Saturday late evening , ransacked the house of Police cop in Batagund village of South Kashmir’s Tral sub district , and fired some gunshots gunshots there.
Police souces confirmed the incident and said that, unidentified gunmen two to three in number, on late evening yesterday barged into the house of J&K Police ASI Ghulam Mohammad , at Batagund Village of Tral.
“They ransacked the window panes, furniture and other things there and subsequently fired some gunshots in air before leaving the spot,” they said.
Pertinently, suspected militants had ransack the property of PDP Zonal President Mohammad Ashraf Shah at Dadsara Village yesterday evening.
Soon after the back to back incidents of ransacking,government forces launched hunt in the area to nab the assailants.
