SrinagarDivisional Commissioner Kashmir, Baseer Ahmad Khan Saturday convened a meeting to review the progress of four-lanning project of the Boulevard road.
During the meeting, the Divisional Commissioner was informed that additional 40 kanals of land will come under the prestigious project which starts from Lake View Park to Shalimar. It was given out that the said a total of 253 kanals would come under the project.
The Divisional Commissioner directed the R&B officials to submit fresh indent to the DC Srinagar with details of private and state land which would come under the expansion project.
He directed DC Srinagar to conduct joint verification with concerned departments on this corridor so that the work can be started soon.
Regarding the shifting of utilities, Div Com directed the engineers of PDD and PHE to take measures for shifting of electric poles and water supply pipes coming under the project immediately. He also directed General Manager BSNL to start the work of relocating mobile towers to ensure timely completion of the project.
Khan said that work on the project would be started soon so that the traffic congestion on this busy stretch is redressed.
Additional Commissioner Kashmir, Additional Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, VC LAWDA, Superintendent Engineers of R&B, PDD & PHE, Chief Engineer UEED, GM JKTDC, GM BSNL, Chief Wild Life Warden, Conservator Forest, Collector Land Acquisition, Deputy Director Planning, Assistant Commissioner Central, Concerned Tehsildar, Traffic Advisor to Government, Exen SMC and other concerned officers attended the meeting.
