SrinagarNo weekly congregational prayers were allowed at Grand Mosque here with police locking up the gates of the historic mosque.
A Hurriyat (M) spokesman condemning the police action said that Mirwaiz too was confined to his home as he was scheduled to address a Friday congregation at Charar-e-Sharief and pay obeisance at the revered shrine of Hazrat Sheikhul Alam (RA) this week.
The spokesman said that confining Mirwaiz to his home every now and then clearly reflects the political vendetta of the government against Mirwaiz.
