SrinagarOne of the prominent health institutions of Kashmir, Noora Hospital has signed only international cyclist of Kashmir, Mohammad Akber Khan as its brand ambassador, a statement issued by the hospital said.
Akber apart from featuring in the various promotions of the hospital will also be riding under Noora brand name in various competitions across India.
Cycling which is on prime list when it comes to health and environment awareness is perfect medium to promote our brand, the statement read.
The announcement in this regard was made by Managing Director of Noora Hospital, Manzoor Ahmad Wagay while signing contract with cycling star.
Speaking on occasion Manzoor Ahmad Wagay, I am glad to see achievements of Akber at National level. He is pride of valley and his achievements were duly recognized by J&K Bank by putting his photograph on annual calendar.
He is the person who has risen from nothing and getting on to become biggest cycling star that J&K has ever produced. He is son of farmer and has worked hard to get here. There no one else better to make our brand ambassador then him, he said.
Akber is only cyclist of State who has won two gold medals in national competition. He is the only cyclist of J&K with two gold medals in All India Inter-University Cycling championship. Manzoor Ahmad Wagay praised the cyclist for this big achievement.
Cycling is environment friendly sport and cycles are run by burning fat rather than fuel. We are happy to get associated with this sport and will try our best to promote Akber and the sport as well, he added.
Akber Khan on the occasion thanked Noora Hospital management for the support and said, I am happy to get associated with Noora Hospital. I have been riding for TCI max from last two years and now will be doing that for Noora. I needed this boost before upcoming All India Inter-University competition in which I am sure that I will be able to bag medal. Apart from that there are also many cyclothon competitions coming up.
