Tral(Pulwama)Clashes broke out in Tral town of south Kashmir amid a shutdown against alleged ransacking of a Hizbul Mujahideen militants house by forces.
Local news agency GNS reported that the forces allegedly ransacked the house of Hamad Khan of Hizbul Mujahideen in the wake of killing of an SPO in Aripal village on Wednesday. Locals alleged that forces men smashed the household items, windows and glass panes of Hamads house last night.
To protest the ransacking, a shutdown was observed in Tral town while youth clashed with government forces. Hamad is a senior Hizb militant in Tral and was one of the associates of Burhan Wani as well as Sabzar Bhat. According to police, he operates from Tral and commands Hizb in the area.
Meanwhile, when contacted, police denied their hand in the ransacking. Similar allegation of ransacking of militant houses was also leveled by locals in Shopian yesterday. Police there too denied its involvement.
