SrinagarSeasoned cyclist Akber Khan will be plying his trade for Noora hospital in the upcoming local and national level cycling events after the premier cyclists of the valley was signed up by the hospitals management.
Getting a major boost ahead of upcoming national championship and All India Inter-University Cycling championship, Akber will be sponsored by managing body of Noora Hospital. According to the statement issued here, managing director of Noora Hospital Manzoor Ahmad Wagay announced the sponsorship after meeting the cyclist,
In a function held in the office of NOORA HOSPITAL managing director of NOORA HOSPITAL Manzoor Ahmad Wagay made accouncement for sponsorship the top cyclist of the Valley .
Speaking on occasion Wagay said he was glad to see achievements of Akber at national level .He said cycling is one of the toughest sport and bringing laurels for the state in this sport is not an easy job.
Till date Akber is the only cyclist of state who has won two national gold medals and two gold medals in All India interuniversity Cycling championship.
