TralSuspected militants on Wednesday evening shot dead a special police official (SPO) in Tral area of Pulwama district.
Police said that an SPO identified as Haleem Gujjar, son of Fateh Gujjar, resident of Gutro, Aripal Tral was fired upon by militants near his residence.
In the incident Haleem suffered critical bullet wounds and was shifted to nearby hospital where doctors declared him brought dead, a police officer said. Soon the after the incident, Government forces launched a manhunt in the area to nab the assailants.
