SrinagarThe state government on said that many officers dont attend broad meetings which causes embarrassing situation for it.
It has been brought into the notice of the General Administration Department that many officers of the level of Head of Department do not attend review meetings of District Development Boards
thus compelling the respective Chairpersons of the Boards to take a strict view and convey their displeasure, reads a government circular.
This has reportedly happened despite proper delivery of the invitation letters/ meeting notices to all the Heads of Departments by the office of the concerned Deputy Commissioners.
In order to prevent such embarrassing situations, in future, it is impressed upon all the Administrative Secretaries and Heads of Departments to attend the District Development Board Meetings as well as their review meetings without failure. In case of extreme emergencies, a representative may be deputed to attend the meeting.
