KargilMuslims across Kargil district on Saturday carried out 9th Muhharram processions. In Kargil town mourners assembled from adjacent viallges . Raising slogans against the global arrogance, including US and Israel mourners expressed their solidarity with the oppressed across the world .
These processions marched through main bazar Kargil and culminated at Hussaini Park and Islamia School premises. where the mourning assemblies were held later.
In Drass , Sankoo , Suru , Wakha and other big and small places of Kargil district it has been reported that the 9thMuharram processions were carried out and mourners payed rich tribute to the great sacrifices of Imam Hussain a.s and his holy household in the desert of Karbala for the sake of Islam and humanity .
