SrinagarJ&K SPDC XI and State Football Academy played out a goalless draw in their premier-division fixture of State Football League 2017 played at TRC Synthetic Turf Ground, Srinagar, a statement from Jammu and Kashmir Football Association-the organisers of the tournament- said on Thursday.
In a see-saw battle, both teams played aggressively but goals were hard to come by. The teams went into half-time break with score reading 0-0. The stalemate continued in the second half as both teams missed chances which meant they had to share points at the time of final hooter. Touseef from State Football Academy walked away with the man of the match award
In the first match of the day in the A-division league, Islamic University Football Club beat Mohamadan Football 2-0 comfortably. Mohsin and Musaib were goal scorers for the winning side.
The second game of the day saw Fort View Football Club beat Football Club Biscoe 1-0. After getting the lead early in the piece, Fort View made sure they preserved it till the end. Javed was the goal scorer for the winning side.
