SrinagarInspector General of Police (Security) Alok Kumar today reviewed the security of Civil Secretariat the headquarters of J&K Government and adjoining Assembly Complex.
An official told news agency GNS that the IGP Alok Kumar visited the Civil Secretariat today and reviewed the security. SSP Security Civil Secretariat welcomed the IGP and briefed him about the security arrangements at place in Civil Secretariat, he said, adding that the top officer also chaired a darbar of officers and officials on the occasion.
During the darbar, IGP interacted with the jawans and keenly listened to their grievances and briefed them about the sensitivity of their duties, keeping in view the present challenges. He appreciated the dedication of officers/officials towards their duties and emphasized them to remain more vigilant in future as well, said the official. On the occasion, few jawans also raised their grievances for which IGP has assured them for immediate redressal.
