SrinagarMinister of State for Health and Medical Education, Social Welfare, Asiea Naqash Saturday said that the Government is actively considering creation of new posts for dental surgeons to increase capacity building in dentistry across the State and to provide quality dental treatment to people.
Asiea said this during 12th J&K State Dental Conference Golden Jubilee Celebration in which she attended as Chief Guest.
The Minister said that the Government is taking steps to address the shortage of dental surgeons in the Valley. She said that the Government is keen to upgrade dentistry across the State and added that the Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti has already chaired a meeting in this regard.
Asiea urged the dental surgeons to organize camps in the far-flung areas of the State so that oral hygiene is ensured to them. She asked the Dental Council of the Valley to hold camps in schools so that proper dental care is provided to the children.
