SRINAGAR: Frontline militant groups Hizbul Mujahedin and Lashkar-e-Taiba condemned Tral grenade attack and claimed that it was perpetrated in reaction to ongoing United Nations proceedings.
Lashkar chief Mehmood Shah in an emailed statement to local news agencies, expressed his deep grievances on the deaths of innocent Kashmiris and attributed this attack as “an attack on the legitimate freedom struggle of Kashmir”.
Shah said: “We will never allow such ill-fated plots to succeed.
In a separate statement Hizb chief Syed Salahuddin while condemning the grenade attack in Tral blamed Indian agencies for it.
In a tele statement to news agency KNS, Hizb spokesman Saleem Hashmi quoting Salahuddin said the attack is a handiwork of agencies and Hizb condemns such attacks.
He said such attacks are being carried out only to deviate the attention of World community from Kashmir issue.
