Srinagar: A Selection Grade Constable of Jammu and Kashmir Police affiliated with Special Security Group (SSG), who was wounded in a road accident, succumbed to his injuries on Saturday.
The slain cop whom a police official identified as Altaf Ahmed was injured when a Scooty he was riding was hit by a truck near Pantha Chowk area in the outskirts of Srinagar city.
Meanwhile, Jammu Kashmir Police Chief Dr SP Vaid deeply condoled the sad demise of Altaf Ahmed. Dr Vaid also condoled the demise of another cop Muhammad Yasin who passed away after brief illness. Vaid expressed his sympathy with the bereaved families and also prayed for eternal peace of the departed souls.
