SrinagarAlzheimer Science Club of Kashmir Harvard School Thursday organized a day long Annual Science Exhibition themed The Budding Inventors in which students from higher department displayed various models invented by them in the current academic session.
The key objective of this exhibition was to provide a platform to scientific experimentation and innovation to the future scientists.
Prof. (Dr.) Ambardar Rajinder, Director NIT Srinagar was the chief guest on the occasion whereas Prof. (Dr.) Tabasum Ara, Head Department of Chemistry , Dr. Seemin Rubab (Associate Professor Physics) and Dr. Mohammad Shafi Mir (Registrar NIT Sgr.) were guest of honours.
The models presented by the students include:
1. DC Generator and Centrifugal Machine by Maleeha, Aisha, Haya from class 9th
2. Air Pump by Wardah Sheikh and Azra Sheikh from class 10th
3. Vacuum Cleaner by Ansa Shafat & Yusra from class 10th.
4. Hydraulic Arm and DNA by Fiza Showkat and Rukaya Mukhtar from class 9th
5. Steam and Wind Electric Generator by Marsina Waf and Jasmine from class 9th.
6. Wireless Power Transmission Project by Rida and Irtiza from class 10th
Dr. Rajinder hailed and appreciated the work carried out by the students and said, the students of Valley are talented enough and what they only require is the proper guidance and support. The Chief Guest also invited the students to visit NIT Srinagar so as to boost their morale. Guest of honors also hailed the innovative ideas of students and congratulated the school management for their efforts towards prospering the future of the students.
Chairman Kashmir Harvard School Mr. Tariq A Baktoo said that we believe that strides of science and technology alone can liberate our motherland in the modern world & therefore we strive to construct a scientific and creative attitude among the young minds.
