SrinagarA delegation of AYUSH doctors under the banner of AYUSH Welfare Forum comprising, Dr. Mohammad Jamal (Vice President), Dr. Shabir Ahmad Gaffari, Dr. Mansoor Ahmad Khan, Dr. Saif-ul-abrar and Dr. Wahid-ul-hassan called on the Minsiter for Health & Medical Education, Bali Bhagat at his official residnece here today and highlighted the issues relating to the functioning of the Department of AYUSH in Jammu and Kashmir.
The delegation expressed gratitude to the Minister for his relentless efforts for improving the overall functioning of the department vis-à-vis reviving the Government Ayurvedic College at Jammu and expediting the compliton of Government Unani College at Srinagar. The delgation also submitted a memorandum of demands, which mostly related to the welfare of AYUSH doctors, upgradation of infrastructural facilities and further expansion of the ISM Department in view of the increased work load of patients across the ISM institutions in the State. They maintained that the AYUSH sector has received further push under the dynamism command of present leadership and hoped that it would touch new heights with combined and concerted efforts.
