Srinagar Two people, including a driver, were killed and three others injured in a road accident on Srinagar-Jammu national highway Friday morning, official sources said here.
They said a speedy army vehicle coming in opposite direction hit a Sumo cab at Banihal at Chamalwas on the highway resulting in instant death of driver and a passenger besides injuries to three others.
The deceased have been identified as Sumo driver Manjeet Singh of Digdol and passenger Nissar Ahmed of Batmaloo.
13 soldiers injured in accident
Thirteen soldiers were injured on Friday when an Army vehicle plunged into a deep gorge in Jammu and Kashmir’s Reasi district, police said.
The vehicle went out of the driver’s control at Dhansar area. The injured were taken to a hospital, the police said.
