SrinagarThe creative writing workshop organized by Waruk, an organization striving to promote Creative Arts among youth, in collaboration with Department of Tourism and Settle Light Production concluded on Sundayhere in the old city of Srinagar which saw an overwhelming response from the local youth.
Around 60 participants worked together in groups for a month comprising children as well as adults. The workshop was held at Islamic Cultural Center Nowhatta, Jamia Masjid.
The second and the third edition of the workshops were later organized at Peerzu Island on the banks of river Jehlum.
The innovative workshop saw guest lecturers from Mumbai, Kolkata, Lucknow and, Kashmir who made participants aware of various facets of the field.
Deputy Director Tourism Riyaz Beigh was also present on the occasion. He said the events were historic and first of its kind because there are generally no workshops that have such a diverse participation.
