The Bar Association has convened a meeting and has asked all these members to attend the meeting tomorrow.
Meanwhile, it has strongly condemns the killing of Shahid Ahmad of Darial Tarathpora, a 3rd year student, who had left his home around 5:00 a.m. on Monday, to purchase some household items from a shop at Tarathpora, but was picked up by army and was later killed in a fake encounter in Hafrada forests.
The Bar Association requested High Court to take judicial notice of the beastedly murder, being the custodian of the fundamental rights of the people of Kashmir and institute a judicial enquiry into the matter, so that those who are guilty of the crime do not go scot-free and punished under law.
The lawyers body also condemns the attack on Shabir Ahmad Shah, in Patiala Court police lockup, where he had been lodged.
The Bar Association maintains that since no Kashmiri prisoner, whether lodged in Jammu Jails or outside the State is safe, in those jails, therefore, either all Kashmiri prisoners be brought back and lodged in jails located in Kashmir province or else adequate safety and protection be provided to them, while they are lodged in a jail outside Kashmir, so that no harm is caused to them by any criminal, with whom he may be lodged in the jail by the jail authorities, a spokesman of the lawyers body.
