Budgam- Various posters criticising Hurriyat leaders, calling on people to support bollywood and shun bloodshed have surfaced in Budgam.
Black and white posters with different messages were found pasted in main chowk Budgam.
A damaged poster carrying pictures of Syed Ali Shah Geelani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, Yasin Malik, Pakistan former military chief Raheel Sharif and Hafiz Saeed says, “they are only making their home, even their children studies in foreign countries.”
Carrying pictures of bollywood film ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ and ‘Jab Tak Hai Jaan’ a poster says ‘Kashmir se hai bollywood, isse badawa de’ (Bollywood is because of Kashmir, promote it).
Most of these posters are pasted on the walls of shops. They have created panic among shopkeepers and locals.
A poster which has pictures of Kashmiri youths carrying sticks while chasing police vehicle and girls reading in the classroom says, ‘Yeh tum loug hi ho jo Kashmir ki khubsurati ko baccha saktay hain, (it’s you who can save this beautiful Kashmir).
These posters suggest people to help in the development of Kashmir and shun bloodshed, it reads,
‘Aap log hi ho jo is khubsurat aur khushgawar Kashmir ko aur bhi khubsurat aur tarkiyafta bana sakte ho, naki isko khoonrizi aur hartal se barbad karain, (Only you can make this Kashmir charming and developed, don’t ruin it with shutdowns and bloodshed.
Another poster says ‘history bears witness that Kashmiriyat teaches brotherhood and love,’ adding that ‘religion doesn’t teach mutual enmity, we respect your religion whether it is Eid or Muharram’.
‘Let’s join hands and make Kashmir a paradise,’
Meanwhile locals questioned why these posters were pasted only in Budgam?
While contacted Station House Officer (SHO) of Budgam police station, Rafi Shah told Kashmir Observer that he has not seen these posters himself adding that “I will check them first, then only I can say anything about them.”
