SrinagarMaster XI Ompora emerged as the winner of State Cricket Academy T-20 Championship for district Budgam leg beating NCC Narbal in the finals by 43 runs, a statement from J&K State Sports Council said Monday.
In a low scoring game, Master XI showed great skills and character to fashion the title glory.
Batting first, Master XI posted a decent score of 137 for the loss of eight wickets in the allotted 20 overs.
Imtiyaz Malla was the highest scorer making an undefeated 34. Rafiq took three wickets for NCC Narbal.
In reply, NCC Narbal were bundled put for a 94 in 19.3 overs.
For Master XI Ompora Aqib Khan was lethal with the ball taking four wickets for 15 runs in 3.3 overs.
He was unsurprisingly awarded man of the match.
Director Cricket Academy Mubashir Hassan who handed over trophies to winners and runners up lauded work done by the local coordinators to run the tourney smoothly.
