SrinagarProtests erupted in saffron town Pampore of South Kashmirs Pulwama district after people found Indian tricolour painted on the wall of a Jamia Masjid at Wuyen Bala area.
The Imam of the Jamia Masjid, Maulana Muhammad Ajaz Noori told news agency CNS that as they went to mosque to offer morning prayers, they found Indian tricolour painted on the wall of the mosque.
This infuriated people, who staged a massive protest and demanded action against the agency involved in the act, he said.

We have informed the police and hope they will take the cognizance and probe the matter, he added.
One of the protesters said that this action of the unknown agency is aimed at to provoke the people.
When contacted a police official said that they will visit the spot to ascertain the facts.(CNS)
