SrinagarA contingent of the Uttar Pradesh Police would take part in the Independence Day parade tomorrow here in the summer capital of Jammu and Kashmir.
In order to further the cooperation between the Uttar Pradesh and the state’s police departments, a contingent of the UP police will take part in the Independence Day parade at Srinagar, a police spokesman said.
Deputy Superintendent of Police Sheodan Singh would lead the contingent from Uttar Pradesh in the parade at the Bakshi Stadium, he said.
Contingents of police, security forces and other state organisations are also participating in the parade, the spokesman said
Children from various institutes would present cultural programmes on the occasion, he said.
