Handwara: Rejecting Mehbooba Muftis claim that J&K is Indias crown and people of J&K have rejected two nation theory, AIP Supremo and MLA Langate Er. Rashid has accused her of being apologetic, untruthful and unrealistic during her meeting with PM Narinder Modi.
Interacting with deputations in Handwara Er. Rashid said It is shameful that rather asking PM Narinder Modi in an apologetic way not to touch Article 35-A, she should have told Mr. Modi that Kashmiris are not fighting for what they have within Indian constitution but are seeking a permanent resolution to the dispute.
By talking about accommodating idea of J&K in Idea of India she is forgetting the fact that New Delhi by its proxies and taking Supreme Court route is trying to bring Kashmiris to the back foot and also intends to seek bargaining power for the final resolution of J&K. Though nobody is opposing her defending Article 35-A but she should have told PM that the battle is much bigger than preserving Article 35-A, he said.
Er. Rashid ridiculed Mehboobas claim that J&K is Indias crown and said that J&K is by no means Indias integral part but a disputed territory. He said By calling J&K Indias crown Mehbooba has been very unfair to the people of state and also to the historical facts and has insulted the huge sacrifices offered by people of J&K for right to self-determination.
Her claim that people of J&K have rejected two nation theories in 1947 is distortion of facts, misleading and denying the Himalayan truth as people of the state had never ever acceded to India and neither has been their opinion sought through right to self-determination till date.
Er. Rashid asked Mehbooba Mufti either to talk with confidence, courage, facts and sincerity or must break her alliance with the BJP as it has given Sang Parivar an upper hand in destroying and misleading the facts about J&K dispute.
