TralAn entire herd of sheep perished after a cloudburst hit upper reaches of Tral two days back, reports reaching here said today.
The cloudburst struck Nagabaren forest, a big pasture land for frequented by the nomads.
Eyewitnesses said, fifty one sheep died when the cloudburst hit Nagabaren area , 30 kilometres from Tral sub division on 23rd July at about 03:30 PM. The animals were grazing when sudden shovers triggered a cloudburst.
The flock of sheep belonged to Waseem Ali, resident of Tral, Junaid Bakirwal, Ab Gani Parray and Noor Dar of Tral sub division.

Nomads urged authorities to provide immediate relief to them so that they can restart their sheep rearing business to fulfil their needs.
