Budgam Notwithstanding its tall claims over reforming healthcare sector across the State, the government has failed to provide suitable healthcare facilities to the patients at Aga Syed Yousuf Memorial (ASYM) district hospital here.
Acute shortage of beds in ASYM hospital is adding miseries to patient, who are being accommodated in a corridor, where rush of public not only disturbs them but poses a serious health risk as well. Insiders at the hospital said from last twenty days beds are being placed outside the wards, owing to patient rush.

Female patients are worst hit.
“Inside the ward we are secure but outside we face enormous issues,” said Rafia a female patient.
She said, for a women it is not easy to lie on bed in open where patients have no facilities like changing clothes.
