SrinagarLinking the attack on Armarnath pilgrims to alleged Indian strategy and policy to defame Kashmir freedom struggle, conglomerate of local militant outfits, United Jehad Council Tuesday condemned the attack on Hindu pilgrims.
The attack on Amarnath pilgrims is barbaric and highly condemnable. Fanatic elements in India want to target many by a single shot. The attack was not only aimed at maligning the Kashmir freedom struggle globally but also to target insecure Kashmiri students and traders present in different parts of India, UJC Chief Syed Salahuddin said in a statement sent to local news agencies in Srinagar.
Indian security agencies and their aides will get nothing out of this while whole world knows militants and freedom loving people of Kashmir take it as their responsibility to protect the Hindu pilgrims. Kashmiris are known for hospitality who never discriminate on the lines of colour, religion, sex, creed and caste, he said.
Syed Salahuddin said that the assailants will get exposed in the same way as they had got exposed in Pandit massacre in Wandhama, Sikh massacre in Chattisingpora and Machhil fake encounter case.
The UJC appealed global human rights organizations to constitute an investigating team and probe the incident thoroughly and fairly. Syed Salahuddin expressed sympathies with the victims of the bereaved families.
Meanwhile militant outfit Lashkar-e-Taiba also vehemently condemned the attack on Amarnath pilgrims and called it barbaric and inhuman.
In a statement to news agency CNS, Lashkar-e-Taiba said that attack on Amarnath pilgrims was highly reprehensible act. Islam does not allow violence against any faith. We strongly condemn such acts. India wants to sabotage the freedom struggle of Kashmiris, therefore it uses such attacks to fulfill its nefarious agenda, the outfit said.
The outfit added that, at times India uses Hindus of Utar Pardesh to hide its terror face, and when it fails, they use false flag attacks against Amarnath pilgrims. No Kashmiri has ever targeted any pilgrim and this barbarity and atrocity is trademark of Indian forces.
