New DelhiRenowned Human Rights activist and civil society member Gautum Navlakha while condemning the government clampdown on the eve of Burhan Wanis anniversary in Kashmir Valley Saturday said that India has neither intention nor capability to resolve the Kashmir issue. He said from Ministers to Generals, the language of force is used to cowdown the people of Kashmir.
Talking to news agency CNS over phone from New Delhi, Gautum Navlakha said: India is eager to suppress the sentiments of people of Kashmir by force and it has been encouraging its military to go for a kill in every nook and cranny of Valley.
Morally, India has no locus standi on Kashmir. It is ruling the state through its military power where soldiers are free to operate at will. The way it restricted and crushed the people on Burhans anniversary speaks volumes of its sinister designs. Instead of adopting a reconciliatory policy, it is pursuing a policy of aggression that is going to hurt it badly in coming years, he said and added that pride hath a fall and people of Kashmir will succeed in their endeavor. .
He also criticized the international community and world human rights organizations for what he termed as criminal silence and failure to hold India accountable for its crimes in Kashmir.
