TEHRAN: Irans Supreme Leader Ayatollah Sayed Ali Khamenei Monday urged the Muslims worldwide to support the people of Kashmir, who according to him, faced oppression even during the fasting month of Ramadan.
Revolutionary leader in his Eid sermon at Tehrans Great Musalla (Prayer Ground) which was also attended by Iranian President and top military commanders, also touched upon the important issues facing Iran and the Muslim world.
Ayatollah Khamenei hailed the religious and cultural activities held during Ramadan and urged all to save the spiritual earnings of the holy month as treasures.
He commended the Iranian nation on massive turnout on presidential election as well as Quds Day rallies. He highlighted that the massive turnout in Quds Day rallies on last Friday of Ramadan was a historic occasion. He asked honorable Iranian nation to be proud of their achievements; prior to Ramadan, you made an unprecedented presence in the presidential elections and later you proved the countrys greatness to the world by a massive turnout at Quds Day march, he told the gathering.
IRGCs powerful attack against ISIL forces in Syria was also a notable measure worth admiration, he continued.
Touching upon the regional issues, the Leader urged the Islamic world to explicitly support Yemeni people; Revolutionary forces need to be more careful about order in the country otherwise enemies will take advantage of chaos to their benefit.
Leader of Iran warned against numerous cultural influences by enemies and urged the Islamic community to slam oppressors who invade innocent people, including Yemenis, Bahrainis and Kashmiris, in the fasting month of Ramadan.
“The Islamic world must explicitly support the Yemeni people; they must express their disavowal and aversion of tyrants and oppressors who assaulted them in the way you saw during the month of Ramadan,” the Leader said.
“The same goes for the people of Bahrain and Kashmir; our nation can be placed as the backbone of this massive movement of the Islamic world,” Ayatollah Khamenei added.
He invited the Islamic world, its intellectuals in particular, to announce their stance in a crystal-clear way like Iran does.
