SRINAGAR: The Executive Officer, J&K State Hajj Committee has asked all the intending pilgrims of Hajj 2013 to adhere to the instructions issued by Hajj Committee strictly.
In a statement issued here today, intending pilgrims have been informed that a valid international passport has been made mandatory since Hajj-2009 and as such all the intending pilgrims should be in possession of valid passport at the time of submission of Hajj Application Form for Haj-2013. The validity of the passport shall be at least upto 31-03-2014.
The Haj Application forms are likely to be issued in the first week of February 2013. All the pilgrims under general category shall have to append a self attested Photostat copy of the valid passport with tile Haj Application form However those pilgrims who seek Hajj seat under reserved category shall have to deposit original passport at the time of submission of Ha] Application.
To avoid any inconvenience faced by the pilgrims for refund of any amount due to them, the Hajj Committee of India has this year made it compulsory for appending a copy of cancelled cheque with the Hajj application form by the concerned intending Hajj pilgrims bearing account number and IFS Code on tile cheque
The pilgrims seeking reservation under 70 year plus category should be born by or before 28-02-1943.
All the reserved category pilgrims shall have to submit an affidavit to the effect that they have not performed Hajj pilgrimage through any agency before strictly as per the specimen of affidavit to be provided by Hajj Committee at the time of distribution of Hajj application
The 70 year plus pilgrims shall have to be accompanied by a companion. In no case he shall be allowed to proceed alone. Only Husband/Wife/Brother/Sister/Son/Daughter/Son-in-Law/ Daughter in Law/Grand Children/Nephew/Niece are allowed to accompany the pilgrim as companion.
