SrinagarMr. Umang Narula, Chief Executive Officer, Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board informed Governor N.N. Vohra, Chairman of the Shrine Board, that all modalities for providing helicopter services for the Shri Amarnathji Yatra 2017 were finalized in a meeting held at Rajbhavan yesterday.
The meeting was attended by Lalit Gupta Joint Director General, Civil Aviation; Group Captain S. Roy Chowdhary Chief Operations Officer and Wg Commander S. Naithani Senior ATC Officer of Air Force Station Srinagar; Capt. S.Panwar Global Vectra Helicorp Ltd.; Wg. Commander Mahapatra UTAir Pvt Ltd.; Wangchuck Shamshu Director Himalayan Heli Services Pvt Ltd.; Jitendra Kumar Singh Additional Chief Executive Officer and other officers of the Amarnathji Shrine Board.
CEO, SASB, informed that SASB had finalized arrangements for starting helicopter services with Global Vectra Helicorp Ltd. and UTAir Pvt Ltd. on the Neelgrath-Panjtarni Sector and with Himalayan Heli Services Pvt Ltd. for the Pahalgam -Panjtarni Sector on the 29th June, 2017. The per passenger one way heli-fare for Yatra 2017 has been fixed at Rs 1,715/- (inclusive of all taxes) for the Neelgrath-Panjtarni and Rs.2,950/- (inclusive of all taxes) for the Pahalgam-Panjtarni sectors. The advance online booking for Helicopter tickets has already commenced on 25th April 2017 and till date 27,320 tickets have been booked for the Shri Amarnathji Yatra, 2017. In this context, CEO, SASB informed that most of the requisite clearances for heli operations have been obtained from the concerned authorities.
CEO, SASB advised Yatris to get heli tickets only from the aforesaid authorized heli operators or their authorized agents and not to fall prey to unscrupulous elements who may mislead them and try to sell fake tickets.

CEO further informed that in coordination with the Indian Air Force and the heli-operators the Shrine Board has made the required arrangements for undertaking immediate air evacuation of Yatris who fall sick or are seriously injured during the Yatra.
Chairman, N.N Vohra advised CEO, Umang Narula to keep a close watch on the functioning of the duly authorized Agents and take immediate action to de-register them if any complaint is received against their functioning which is found to be true after enquiry.
