GanderbalCentral University of Kashmir (CUK) Friday established a social service camp to serve refreshments to the devotees attending Mela Kheer Bhawani here.
Hundreds of devotees including men, women and children thronged the camp and consumed the refreshment served by the student volunteers, faculty members and other officials of the varsity.
Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Mehraj ud Din Mir visited the camp and expressed satisfaction over the arrangements made. He hailed Directorate of Students Welfare for organizing the camp and appreciated the volunteers for providing refreshments to the devotees from the wee hours.
Central University of Jammu (CUJ) Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Ashok Aima, who also visited the camp, lauded the CUK for providing refreshment to the devotees.
Dean Students Welfare, Dr. Fayaz Ahmad Nikka, also appreciated the student volunteers and other staffers of the university for participating in the camp. He also thanked the university administration for extending support in organizing the camp.
The devotees expressed gratitude to the employees for serving the refreshment.
