Srinagar: Minister for Youth Services and Sports, Molvi Imran Reza Ansari Wednesday directed Sports Council to release an amount of 2 lakh to JK Rugby Club for purchase of equipments, a statement from Jammu and Kashmir State Sports Council.
“This has been done in view of the request made by the Rugby Players who brought laurels to the state recently by winning 7’s National Rugby Championship at Gulmarg”, said Minister Youth services and Sports, Imran Ansari.
The statement added that the Rugby club thanked Minister and Secretary Sports Council for allotment of funds and said that the association will be now able to purchase new jerseys for the players.
