SRINAGAR: The Jammu and Kashmir skipper Parvez Rasool continues to give telling contributions for his side Gazi Group of Cricketers in Bangladeshs Dhaka Premier League. The latest winning contribution was both with the bat and ball as his side GGC beat Khelaghar SKS by seven wickets at Fatullah on Monday.
J&Ks only international cricketer Parvez besides pacer Abu Haider (four wickets) was instrumental in helping his team restricting Khelaghar SKS to a small score of 174 in the rain truncated game. The rains meant game was reduced to 43-a-side tie.
Parvez took two wickets in his nine-over spell. He then compiled a run a ball 42 as his side romped home in 36.1 overs with seven wickets in the shed. His cameo was punctuated with five fours and a solitary six.
Parvez has been in phenomenal form both with the bat and ball, winning games for GCC on regular basis. The off spinning all-rounder inked a deal with Dhaka based GCC after he didnt find any takers in this seasons Indian Premier League. He was plying his trade for Royal Challengers Bangalore but was jettisoned by the franchise before the auction only to find his name being ignored by all the teams. It prompted him to be an overseas player for GCC and the Bangladesh stint has proved to be fruitful for the J&K skipper earning him runs and wickets consistently.
