SRINAGAR: Director Handloom Development Department, Rajesh Sharma, today inaugurated renovated showroom (J&K Handloom House) in Srinagar, which was affected by 2014-floods. The showroom is a unit of Handloom Apex Society.
The Director said that despite hardships and financial constraints, administrators and members of the Apex Society have utilized their resources efficiently to make the showroom functional again.
He hoped that the showroom will provide a permanent marketing platform to Handloom Cooperative Societies of the valley and stressed the need of making efforts to re-activate all showroom of the Apex Society.
Later, Sharma also inaugurated showroom of M/S Esquire Handloom Society at Karan Nagar and inspected wide range of Handloom products there. The Director appreciated the efforts of the Esquire Society members for manufacturing variety of products as per the market trend.
