Baramulla: Two young boys drowned in Alpathri village of Baba Reshi in Tangmarg area of north Kashmirs Baramulla district on Friday.
The deceased were identified as eight-year-old student Firdous Ahmad Reshi son of Muhammad Yousuf and 10-year-old Abdul Rouf Shiekh son of Muhammad Ramzan.
Locals said that the boys slipped into Nallah Tilkaen while chasing a cricket ball in Alpathri village, three kilometers from Baba Reshi.
The boys were taken to Kreeri hospital where doctors declared them dead on arrival, they said.
A police official while confirming the death of these two boys said that a case has been registered in this regard.
